The Orlando Magic plays in the NBA's Southeast Division, in the Eastern Conference. They were founded in 1989, and were first an expansion franchise that eventually housed stars like Tracy McGrady, Dwight Howard, Vince Carter, Rashard Lewis, Penny Hardaway, and Shaquille O'Neal. For over half the franchise's life, the Orlando Magic has been in the playoffs, and is considered the most successful of the four expansion teams who were brought into the NBA.
