Learn More about the Celtics
The Boston Celtics jerseys that you see worn so much around the Boston area is a testament to the long standing love that native Bostonians have for their home team. Since 1946, the Celtics have been around entertaining their fans. They currently play their home games at the TD Garden, where the Boston Bruins of the NHL also make their home. The Celtics have won 17 NBA championships, which break the record for any franchise in the NBA.
These wins come as no surprise. The Celtics were leaders in the NBA in the late 50's all the way through the 1980's, with lots of help from players such as Larry Bird, Bill Russell, and Bob Cousy. Tragedy tainted the games and triumphs of the Celtics as Reggie Lewis died of a heart attack. Nevertheless, the Celtics played on and triumphed, as the 2007-2008 season led to its 17th championship.
Boston is quite the place to be, whether you're after the next big Celtics game, or are hoping to check out Fenway Park to see the Sox play. Boston is rich in history, and while you're not in game mode, you can check out downtown Boston and the city's historic districts.
