Learn More About the Sixers:
The Sixers, as you might call the team that makes you want to show off all your Philadelphia 76ers jerseys, plays in the Atlantic Division of the NBA's Eastern Conference. The team was once known as the Syracuse Nationals, and is actually one of the NBA's oldest franchises. After some time in New York, the Nationals moved down to Philadelphia, where they adopted the name 76ers, which they take from 1776, the year of the signing of the Declaration of Independence in Philadelphia.
The 76ers have their own rich history, and number among their team members veterans such as Moses Malone, Julius Erving, Wilt Chamberlain, Allen Iverson, and Charles Barkley. They might not have been back in the finals since 2001, and in a loss to the Lakers, but they truly are still playing and going strong.
